These Terms of Use and this Privacy Policy ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Maison Aura website and your purchases from it. By browsing the site or placing an order you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
Part A — Terms of Use
1. About us
This store is operated by Maison Aura ("we", "us", "our"), a small-batch fragrance house based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. You can reach us at any time through our contact page.
2. Eligibility
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract, and that the payment method you use is yours or that you are authorised to use it.
3. Products & descriptions
We take care to describe our fragrances, notes and sizes accurately. Colours and packaging may vary slightly from photographs. Our fragrances are our own interpretations and compositions.
Kraft notice: Products described as "inspired by" a designer or niche fragrance are our own independent interpretations. They are not the original branded products and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or manufactured by the brands or houses whose scent styles they reference. All third-party trademarks and brand names belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe the scent family.
4. Pricing, offers & taxes
- All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable taxes.
- Current offers — Buy 1 Get 2 Free (mix and match, pay for the dearest of every three), a ₹50 prepaid discount and free delivery on every order — are applied automatically at checkout. No promo code is required.
- We accept prepaid orders only. Cash on Delivery is not offered.
- We may change prices and offers at any time. The price shown at the moment you place your order is the price that applies to that order.
5. Orders & acceptance
Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order and receive payment. We may decline or cancel an order — and refund you in full — where an item is mispriced, out of stock, or where we suspect fraud or misuse.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by third-party payment gateways. We do not store your full card or UPI credentials. By paying you agree to the gateway's terms. Failed or reversed payments may result in the order being cancelled.
7. Delivery, exchanges & refunds
Delivery is governed by our Shipping Policy; exchanges and refunds are governed by our Returns & Exchange policy. Those pages form part of these Terms.
8. Acceptable use & intellectual property
All content on this site — text, photographs, artwork, logos and design — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, scrape or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written permission. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to breach its security, or place fraudulent orders.
9. Reviews & user content
If you submit a review or other content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it. You confirm the content is yours and is not misleading or unlawful. We may edit or remove content at our discretion.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-forum rights you may have.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your order applies to that order, and the "last updated" date above will change when we do.
Part B — Privacy Policy
13. Information we collect
- You give us: your name, delivery address, email, mobile number, order details and any message you send us.
- Payment data: handled by our payment gateway; we receive only a confirmation and a transaction reference, not your full card or UPI credentials.
- Automatic data: basic technical information such as device type, browser and pages viewed, used to keep the site working and secure.
14. How we use your information
- To process, pack, ship and track your order, and to send order and delivery updates by email and SMS.
- To handle exchanges, refunds and customer-support requests.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
- To send you news and offers only if you opt in; you can unsubscribe at any time.
15. Sharing & disclosure
We share your details only with parties who help us fulfil your order — courier partners, payment gateways and IT/hosting providers — and only as needed. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information where required by law or to enforce our rights.
16. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar local storage to remember your cart and preferences and to keep the site secure. You can clear these in your browser settings; the cart may then reset.
17. Data retention & security
We keep order records for as long as required for tax, accounting and warranty purposes, then delete or anonymise them. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data; no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
18. Your rights & choices
You may ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to stop sending you marketing. To do so, contact us through our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
19. Children
This store is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
20. Grievance officer
In line with India's consumer-protection and information-technology rules, a Grievance Officer is available to address any complaint about your order or your data. Please reach them through our contact page; we aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
